BLOOD STATUS

PUREBLOODS

Pure-blood is the term applied to wizards and witches who have no Muggle blood, Muggle-borns, or half-bloods at all in their family tree. They are the rarest of the three blood statuses, only 10% of the Wizarding community is made up of pure-bloods. As there are so few purebloods, we will be limiting our acceptance of them based on the faceclaim's ethnicity. We will also have suggested family ideas listed on our Skeleton page so feel free to take a look!

  • South Korea ( 3/4)

  • China ( 3/4)

  • Japan ( 2/4)

  • Vietnam ( 1/2)

  • Thailand ( 1/2)

  • International ( 1/5)

HALFBLOODS

Half-blood is the term commonly given to wizards and witches who had known Muggle or Muggle-born parents or grandparents. By the 1990s, half-bloods were the most common type of wizard or witch, as the pure-blood wizarding population would have become extinct had they not inter-married with Muggles and Muggle-borns.

MUGGLE / HIMAHOUZOKU (非魔法族 ) BORN

Muggle-born is the term given to a witch or wizard who is born to two non-magical parents. Their magical abilities do not seem to be at all affected by their Muggle parentage — in fact, many Muggle-borns have been among the most powerful witches and wizards of their time.

BEINGS

Animagus ( 2/3)

An Animagus (pl. Animagi) is a witch or wizard who could transform themselves into an animal and back again at will. It was a learned skill, unlike the hereditary skill of a Metamorphmagus.

It is within reason to believe the witch or wizard will find their soul taking the form of an animal close to their heritage. Therefore it is more common among the wizardkind here to transform into creatures which roam across Eastern Asia. The list offered here is only to offer a guide based on the countries we listed in our pureblood families and not a limit. It is also noteworthy that there are subtle differences in species between different countries and some countries may share animal species.

  • China: Asian elephant, sable, dugong, Pallas cat, North China leopard, binturong, clouded leopard, Tibetan macaque, red panda, and the giant panda.

  • Japan: Japanese macaque, tanuki, Sika deer, red-crested crane, Japanese giant salamander, serow, Asian black bear, Japanese dwarf flying squirrel, Japanese boar, Blakiston's fish owl.

  • Korea: Korean goral, white-naped crane, water deer, Siberian musk deer, common Minke whale, Siberian tiger, Korean magpie, Amur leopard, red fox, wild boar, Korean hare

  • Vietnam: Sunda pangolin, saola, Burmese python, slow loris, water buffalos, giant muntjac, dhole, sun bear, Edward’s pheasant, kingfisher

  • Thailand: Asian water monitor lizard, king cobras, manta rays, whale shark, binturong, Siamese crocodile, dusky leaf monkeys, Lyles flying fox, Gurney’s pitta, Neill's long-tailed giant rat

Metamorphmagus ( 1/1)

A Metamorphmagus (pl. Metamorphmagi) is a witch or wizard with the rare magical ability to change their physical appearance through sheer will alone, without the need of Polyjuice Potion, or a spell like most of the wizarding population.

Werewolf ( 1/1)

A werewolf, also known as a lycanthrope,[ is a human being who, upon the complete rising of the full moon, became an uncontrollable, fearsome and deadly wolf. This condition was caused by infection with lycanthropy, also known as werewolfry. Werewolves appeared in the form of wolves, but there were distinctions between them and regular wolves.

Veela ( /2)

Veela were nearly-human magical beings who appeared as young, beautiful women with white-gold hair and moon-bright skin, native to Bulgaria. Their looks and especially their dance were hypnotically seductive to almost all people attracted to women, which caused them to perform foolhardy and impulsive actions to get closer to, and to receive admiration from the Veela. Veela had been known to marry wizards. Children of these unions were half-Veela, and they would inherit magical ability from their wizarding parent and beauty and charm from their Veela parent.  Asians cannot be the offspring of Veelas. We allow Half-Veela female muses, but males are only allowed to be Quarter-Veela or less.

Uwabami ( 1/2)

The Uwabami (蟒蛇) are the Asian counterpart of the Veela of Europe. They are giant snakes with the ability to transform into different objects and beings, often taking the form of beautiful women. Although they’re called differently depending on which country they reside in, as Mahoutokoro is set in Japan they are labelled by their Japanese term. In human form, they have the ability to hypnotise and mesmerise most people. This is one of the traits carried onto their children if they chose to marry wizards. The other traits the children receive is the ability to speak parseltongue. These are the only two traits which the offspring will carry. Just as with Veelas the offspring are often women and it is rarer to have a male child, so the same previous restrictions will apply.

Seer ( 1/1)

A Seer is a gifted wizard or witch who has the ability to see into the future with their Inner Eye.
